I think I might be the only TV DV shipper out there, LOL. Well, at least they have a good friendship (for now) (: Well, they completely owned the books <3
What are your thoughts on these two on the show Admin's Note:
Meant to be together or just good friends Admin's Note:
I 'ship VD! Books and Show. SD bores me. *zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz*
VD has the potential for greatness.
He's the writer. She's the filmmaking.
MAKE A FILM!

In the books, I loved them. In the show, not so much.
It may just be my aversion to Vanessa in general. After Blair, Vanessa was my favourite character in the books. But in the TV show she seems like another person. I miss Vanessa Classic. I really wanted to like her, and she was pretty good in her scenes with Blair, but she can be really bland at times. Hopefully season 2 will focus on her a bit more, develop her character.

OH! Vanessa was my second favorite, too! Shaved head, black-wearing filmmaker!
WHY, Josh, WHY Admin's Note:
But, I think there's plenty of fun potential!

I mean Cecily created this very relatable, one of a kind character that was like no one else and then the show turned that down. Something tells me that if they had an actress with a bald head who played Vanessa, people would love her character more because she would be unique. Don't get me wrong, I like Jessica (the actress) but I would love to see the real Vanessa.

LMAO!
I’m guessing they were worried that viewers new to the series would react badly to it. Personally, I think they would’ve loved her.
On the DV front, I’m trying to warm up to them. I have to admit, it was sweet when she was advising him on sex with Serena. “If it were me with you...” I’m kind of excited to see how they play out.

Admin's Note:
)
LMFAO Jackie, i swear you put a smile on my face everydayyyy ;D hehe i don't why they didn't do, prehabs, they thought it was to much of a character, you know soften her up, you know make her realistic. *shrugs* I Loved V in the Books, she was favorite, i guess because she was different, atlthough, during the whole time i wished she had Hair. but now that she does.. i'm like... where's Vanessa
Admin's Note:
lmao *shrugs* i guess no one can be happy

I, too, think she would have a LOT more fans if they kept her from the books. She's a different character and has a real personality. In the show, she's just your average girl who dislikes the elite kids. I know she still doesn't like them in the books, but there's so much more to her. And..she went to Constance with Blair and the gang! *sighs*

Vanessa in the show is like a female Dan with a video camera. She doesn't have layers. The potential for layers, but we never truly see them. What's beneath the surface

And the video camera was a complete joke. She looked like someone who just bought it at Best Buy and was bored. It was no where near the level of awesome as she is supposed to be with it.
Her movie from the first book Admin's Note:
Show!Vanessa wouldn't be able to pull it off.

TV Vanessa really needs a complete redesign. She talks about filmmaking, but it falls flat. Good thing Blair paid her rent. Surviving off her art
Admin's Note:
Right.

LMAO. I hear ya, Chloe.
And V wasn't around in the premiere. Looks like she went home for the summer because Playa Boy wasn't feelin' her.
